One of the fun parts of starting a business is getting to create a name for it. We believe it should be fun, intriguing, be memorable, pertain to your business, and be a good conversation piece. Sir Cleans a Lot checks all of those boxes.
Here are 3 top reasons why we call ourselves Sir Cleans a Lot:
- We clean lots. It’s implied in the name as this pertains to what we do. Of course we do not only clean lots but we clean the entire grounds of properties, from landscaped areas, to parking lots, and beyond.
- We’re a family run business and one of the pillars in our household and office is to show respect for each other, our customers, our environment, and our community. Responding or acknowledging others as “sir” or “ma’am” is rooted in respect for others. Culturally we believe that respect is dwindling and we want to turn the ship around. By addressing each other as sir or ma’am, we are taking an active approach into bringing respect to the forefront. So we thought it appropriate to begin our name with Sir.
- Growing up as a kid in the 90’s, one might recall that famous hip hop group, Sir Mix a Lot. When workshopping the business name, we wanted to include the word “lot” and of course this musical group name hit that mark. We just substituted “mix” for “cleans” and it stuck. It’s cheeky, fun, and makes for a good laugh especially when speaking to those who grew up in the 90’s. It’s also unique and branding wise, we thought it would stick in the minds of our potential customers for marketing purposes.
